Lakeside Wooden Boat Show
July 13th, 2008
July 13th - Noon to 6
We will be on the Lawn of the Hotel Lakeside and on the lakefront lawn area to the west as we need it.
We have use of the L Dock and I will be working on plans to better use the space so we can get more boats at the dock.
Phil or Dwight, would you talk to the Lyman Boat Owners Assoc about how they might want to be involved and if they would like to have some boats in the show and if we need some temp docks for them to come to the show from their Put-In-Bay Rendezvous with shuttle service from the marina.
The Artists will be here again this year and we are going to look at doing a “Collectors Reception” event Saturday Night and it will be a fund raiser and social event for both groups.
Lakeside will be having Sunday Brunch in the Hotel and a Food Tent in the park after Brunch
Their are also several weddings that weekend and all the hotels are already booked so it is going to be very festive weekend
The Artists will be painting on the grounds of Lakeside on Sunday and will have a Painting Contest and Show and Sale that day also.

I’m the President of the Cleveland Model Boat CLub, and we build and operate radio control boat models. I went to the Cleveland Boat Show in January and showed the gentlemen at your display some pictures of our models. Some of the club members are interested in bringing our wooden models out and display them at the show. I’ve called the phome number listed, and left a message last week, and have heard nothing back yet. I’ve also contacted a coupkle of other model boat clubs around Lake Erie to see if they are interested in participating; and their response was favorable.
